Global Shifts in Work and Care: Global Inequalities and Organizational Strategies,a special issue of Discover Global Society, explores the interconnected transformations of work, care, and institutional life in a rapidly changing global environment. The collection focuses on how globalization, labor market restructuring, migration, welfare policies, and organizational change influence individuals, families, organizations, and societies across different cultural and geographic contexts.

Special attention is given to structural inequalities related to gender, precarious employment, migration, and social policy, as well as to the evolving relationship between work and care responsibilities. The collection particularly encourages research addressing underrepresented Central and Eastern European perspectives alongside broader comparative international analyses.

The issue welcomes interdisciplinary contributions examining topics such as work-life balance, organizational culture, labor market transformation, corporate responsibility, public welfare systems, informal care work, digitalization, green workplace transitions, and the social consequences of economic and institutional change. Both empirical and theoretical studies, systematic literature reviews, and bibliometric analyses are encouraged, with the aim of advancing a holistic understanding of work and care dynamics in the 21st century.
