Kautz Conference on Business and Economics
Győr, Hungary – October 10-12, 2024
Transforming Global Challenges into Opportunities: Entrepreneurship and economic development in an uncertain and technology-driven business environment
The Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics of Széchenyi István University in Győr cordially invited participants to the Conference on Business, Economics and Tourism. The aim of the conference was to serve as a premier academic platform for researchers, industry professionals, policy makers, and tourism stakeholders to present their research and discuss the challenges and possible solutions to the changing global business and economic environment, with a special focus on the impact of tourism on regional development and economic sustainability.
Authors could submit an abstract or full paper for presentation at the conference. Selected papers were published in conference proceedings or Scopus/WoS indexed journals or Hungarian academic journals. The official language of the conference was English.

Beer tasting at Brewpub „Apátúr” - THE PROGRAMME HAS REACHED ITS CAPACITY Private program, Beer tasting at own expense. A century-old tradition has been revived in Győr at Apátúr Brewery, which operates under the auspices of Széchenyi István University and Saint Maurus Benedictine Priory. Tasting of locally brewed (home made) abbey beers.

Guided walking tour of the historic city centre of Győr Group sightseeing with a guide. The program is free of charge for registered participants of the conference. The city of Győr is more than 750 years old, and the historic city center is just a few minutes' walk from the University. The walking tour lasts about 1.5 - 2 hours, during which time we will show you the most interesting sights of Győr's city center. Discover Győr, the city of rivers and encounters with us! During the tour you can discover the monuments and sights of Győr's lively and charming city centre. There are many legends and stories attached to the buildings of the town, including why the Iron Cockerel is an important symbol of the town, and why there is a soda siphon in the town and in the spa. The image of Győr's city centre is dominated by its Baroque buildings, with highlights such as the Széchenyi Square, the Benedictine Church and the Vastuskós(iron-timber-trunk)-House. This square is also the heart of the city, a place of real encounters. The Cathedral Hill, the ecclesiastical centre of the city, where the Cathedral of the Assumption and the Bishop's Castle offer interesting stories and even wonders. Győr's cultural life is rich in institutions and programmes, with the modern National Theatre and its famous ballet company taking pride of place. The walk will reveal the secrets of the city and enjoy the atmosphere of the bustling city centre. Join us!
