Sustainable Energy Trade and Environmental Performance: Technological Innovations and Human Responses

Aim and Scope:

This Special Issue explores sustainable energy trade as a pathway toward low-carbon economies and improved environmental performance. It invites original research, reviews, and short communications on smart energy systems, AI-based forecasting, digital tools, carbon accounting, policy design, governance, and cross-border energy models. The issue also highlights human responses to climate-related transitions, including climate anxiety, sustainability awareness, technology acceptance, trust, and behavioral change.  Contributions may connect environmental metrics with social, cognitive, and psychological factors, offering evidence on how technological innovations and human decision-making shape energy transitions, climate communication, and sustainable development across regional, international, and interdisciplinary research settings worldwide.
